Since its inception in 1898, Holma-Helsinglands has been a driving force in the spinning and textile industry, not only in Hälsingland but also in Sweden and internationally.

The story of Holma-Helsinglands is a fascinating journey from the first conversations between the founder Axel Leman and the two farmers in Forsa, Lars Andersson in Lund and Lars Andersson in Hedsta, who saw the potential in taking the flax grown in the village and processing it mechanically.

Their common vision was to start Hälsingland's first mechanical flax spinning mill, and this led to the founding of Helsinglands Linspinneri AB on March 11, 1898.
